Responsibilities
- Perform full range of routine, general Radiologic procedures for examination of all parts of the human body, exercising proper safety and radiation protection
- Review radiologic requests to determine region(s) to be examined and radiographic projections
- Arrange for appropriate patient flow, transport, prepare and position patients
- Adjust, manipulate and control radiographic equipment to obtain optimum quality radiographs
- Review processed images for optimal quality and assist in quality control
- Prepare and assist in administering contrast media and performing special radiographic procedures under Radiologist supervision
- Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure clean, antiseptic conditions of equipment
- Demonstrate functional knowledge of sterile and isolation technique
- Recognize change in patient's condition requiring emergency action and initiate appropriate response
- Assist with instruction of Radiologic Technology staff and attend in service education
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Radiology after 12 years of formal education
- Minimum 2 years post registration experience with relevant Medical Council/Association
- Must have DOH License to practice
- Read, write and understand English
- Arabic desirable
- Basic computer literacy desired

Role Summary
- Performs the full range of routine, general Radiologic procedures for examination of all parts of the human body, exercising proper safety and radiation protection at all times.
Responsibilities
- Performs work in radiography rooms and wards on a 24 hour on call rotation basis within Radiology facilities and ER, OR, OPD and Spl. clinics.
- Reviews radiologic requests to determine region(s) to be examined and radiographic projections.
- Arranges for appropriate patient flow to and from assigned clinical area.
- Transports, prepares and positions patients using care, tact, courtesy and patience.
- Adjusts, manipulates and controls radiographic equipment to obtain optimum quality radiographs.
- Ensures proper patient safety by utilizing special equipment or accessories.
- Reviews processed images for optimal quality and assists in quality control.
- Prepares and assists in administering contrast media and performing special radiographic procedures under Radiologist supervision.
- Assists in maintaining appropriate inventory of supplies and accessories.
- Maintains clean and antiseptic conditions of radiology equipment and working environment.
- Demonstrates functional knowledge of sterile and isolation technique.
- Recognizes change in patient's condition requiring emergency action and initiates appropriate response.
Qualifications
- Degree / Diploma in Radiology, after 12 years of formal education.
- A minimum of 2 years, post registration with relevant Medical Council / Association.
- Must have DOH License to practice.
- Read, write and understand English. Arabic desirable.
- Basic computer literacy desired.
