Overview

We are looking to hire a

Quantity Surveyor

with a strong background in

Pre & post-contract work

within the

real estate development sector

for our client based in Dubai which is one of the

largest semi government organization in the region.

This position is a contract role with an initial duration of

12 months

and is

renewable.

The role is within the

Contract & Procurement Department

.

As a quantity surveyor, you will be responsible for day-to-day functional leadership of estimating and quantity surveying skill sets to enable the organisation to achieve project delivery goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities across multiple projects
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Management Consultancy team to ensure effective cost planning, budget control, and financial management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare project estimations using available design and briefing documentsReviewing and processing variations of consultants and contractors in accordance with the contract.
  • Administering variations of consultants and contractors in accordance with the client’s Change Management procedures.
  • Reviewing and ensuring insurances and bank guarantees (bonds) are in accordance with the requirements of the contract.
  • Payment valuations and preparing payment certificates.
  • Preparing monthly cost report, cashflow and accruals.
  • Close out of final account, preparing final payment certificate and release of bank guarantees.
  • Knowledge, skills & experience:
  • 5–7 years’ experience in project management consultancy/developer (UAE experience is preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Very good command of English and strong communication skills.
  • Experience with various aspects of Quantity Surveying such as Contract Administration, Field, and Drawing Measurements, Material Takeoff, Estimating, Valuations, Bills of Quantities, Reports, Claims, Dispute Resolution, Variations, Arbitrations, Contractual Letters, Final Accounts preparation, and project close-out.
  • Excellent negotiation & change management skills
