About the Role

Responsibilities
- Review tender documents to identify exact requirements and potential risks
- Create detailed schedule of works or quantify Bill of Quantities
- Carry out site visits, take notes and photographs, review information with Contracts Manager
- Review budgets/allowances with Project Manager to identify potential cost reductions
- Manage procurement of sub contract packages, labour only packages, and suppliers
- Prepare labour, plant and material budgets
- Produce forecast cost reports comparing actual costs against planned costs
- Prepare and submit monthly valuations and invoices with supporting information
- Manage variations and ensure additional works are recorded in line with contract
- Compile, submit, and negotiate agreement of final accounts
- Prepare sub contract documents and settle sub contract final accounts
- Attend sub contractor pre contract meetings with Contracts Manager
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Previous experience in the construction industry, preferably data centre experience
- Proven track record in a complex, customer centric role requiring exceptional agility, decisiveness, and commercial acumen
- Exceptional communication skills
- Highly motivated and able to work independently or within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong commercial and financial awareness
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally (15 25%)

About The Role
- As Quantity Surveyor, you will hold commercial control and maximize the successful running of each project.
- Ensure accurate management of projects through budgeting and reporting to deliver projects seamlessly and cost effectively.
- Based in Dubai, UAE, with responsibility for Tate installations across data centres in the Middle East; some travel required.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully reviewing tender documents to identify exact requirements and identify potential risks.
- Creating a detailed schedule of works or quantifying the Bill of Quantities.
- Carrying out site visits, taking notes and appropriate photographs, reviewing information with the Contracts Manager.
- Reviewing budgets/allowances with the relevant Project Manager to identify if the construction period can be reduced.
- Managing procurement of sub contract packages, labour only packages, and suppliers.
- Preparing labour, plant and material budgets.
- Producing forecast cost reports project actual cost against planned costs to provide accurate forecasts.
- Preparing and submitting monthly valuations and invoices, including all supporting information for claims and variations.
- Managing variations and ensure all additional works are correctly recorded in line with the contract.
- Compiling, submitting, and negotiating agreement of final accounts.
- Preparing sub contract documents to allow the appointment of sub contractors and settling sub contract final accounts.
- Attending sub contractor pre contract meetings along with the Contracts Manager.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Proven track record in a complex, customer centric role requiring exceptional agility, decisiveness, and commercial acumen.
- Exceptional Communication Skills.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently or within a multidisciplinary team.
- Delivers excellent customer service and represents Tate professionally.
- Demonstrates strong commercial and financial awareness.
- Clear, adaptable communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Effective time manager, able to set objectives and prioritise tasks.
