Quality Engineer Intern

QUALIFICATIONS

• >3.0 cumulative overall GPA or better (on a 4.0 scale).
• Currently a full-time student, junior status or higher pursuing a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, or related business discipline. The individual shall also have completed the "core" coursework for his/her chosen discipline.
• Strong initiative and ability to in teams and individually without direct supervision.
• Proficient in basic computer programs/business software: Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Must be willing to relocate in commutable distance to Hamel, MN from approximately May–August 2027 and able to work for a minimum of 12 weeks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Resourceful and innovative in finding solutions to ambiguous problems.
• Self-starter with ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong commitment to a career in Quality Engineering in a manufacturing company.
• Demonstrated analytic approach to problem-solving.
• Knowledge of LEAN or Continuous Improvement practices.
• Leadership experience in student groups, volunteer experience & related extracurriculars.
• Prior work on projects in a team environment (relevant academic projects and/or previous internship experience).

Compensation

• Loram determines compensation based on factors such as skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. Certain positions may be eligible for an annual bonus and paid time off in addition to base compensation.
• The pay range for this position is between $48,800-$55,120
