Role Overview
The Quality Assurance Engineer - Rotary Wing verifies that high maintenance standards are applied and that airworthy, reliable, and safe aircraft products are provided.
The role ensures technical staff operate within the CAME, MOE, and Technical Procedures Manual frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Investigate occurrences and recommend appropriate action.
- Conduct internal and external audits and surveillance inspections of aircraft maintenance activities.
- Carry out aircraft spot checks and detailed surveillance of material supply.
- Conduct Maintenance Documentation Reviews.
- Maintain the database for QCAA company approvals.
- Maintain the database for staff authorizations.
- Coordinate with QCAA on aircraft certificate renewals.
- Support the Manager Quality Technical with assigned duties.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a valid Part 66 Licence.
- Qualified Aviation Auditor.
- Training in QMS and SMS for airlines.
- Level-1 training in at least one helicopter type.
- Minimum 5 years in quality assurance engineering, national CAA regulatory work, systems engineering, helicopter LAE work, or a combination.
- Four years of auditing experience.
- Familiarity with EASA, FAA, and ICAO regulations.
- Comprehensive aviation knowledge of helicopters.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in demanding operational environments.
