- Develop and report on Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for international branches
- Evaluate systems and processes to ensure operational risk identification and management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Information Technology
- At least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably within a highly rated international bank
- At least 2 3 years in the development and execution of Operational Risk Frameworks

Job Summary
- Provide oversight, guidance and challenge to QNB Group International Branches on Operational Risk Framework.
- Directly support VP of International Operational Risk in working with Heads of Risk/Operational Risk in each branch.
Shareholder & Financial
- Support implementation of New QNB Group Operational Risk Framework.
- Increase effectiveness of management’s oversight by analyzing and reporting operational risk data.
- Ensure policies and guidelines are disseminated to concerned officers.
- Distil insights on top 10 material operational risks for executive committee.
- Promote strong control culture and risk awareness.
- Implement KPIs and best practices for International Branches Operational Risk.
Customer (Internal & External)
- Assist customers in queries on Bank’s product.
- Maintain activities in accordance with SLAs.
- Build strong relationships with related departments.
- Provide timely data to Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control and Risk.
- Ensure proactive participation in policy preparation.
- Facilitate International Operational Risk Committee.
- Contribute papers to governance committees.
- Consolidate portfolio management data.
- Produce accurate reports on operational risk.
- Stay updated with best practices.
- Develop and report on KRIs.
- Carry out ongoing evaluation of systems and processes.
Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory)
- Possess understanding of business processes and controls.
- Possess superior knowledge on quantitative techniques for operational risk.
- Maintain understanding of regulations and best practices.
- Keep abreast of technical developments in modeling operational risk.
Learning & Knowledge
- Possess understanding of business processes and controls.

Legal, Regulatory, and Risk Framework Responsibilities
- Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
- Understand and perform role under Three Lines of Defence principle.
- Ensure good outcomes for clients in accordance with Conduct Risk policy.
- Support framework of RCSA, KRI, Incident reporting and remediation.
- Maintain appropriate knowledge and complete mandatory training.
- Attend mandatory seminars.
- Proactively identify areas for professional development.
Other
- Ensure high standards of data protection and confidentiality.
- Maintain utmost confidentiality concerning customer and internal bank information.
- Maintain high professional standards to uphold QNB's reputation.
- Perform all other ad hoc duties.
- Work closely with other teams in Risk, Compliance and Audit.
- Promote efficient communication and interaction between QNB International Units and business areas.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferably with a Major in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Information Technology.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably within a highly rated international bank.
- At least 2 3 years in the development and execution of Operational Risk Frameworks.
