Job Summary

  • PrepHero is a high volume healthy meal plan company.
  • The QA/QC Officer will maintain food safety and hygiene standards, ensure product quality, conduct kitchen inspections, and support production planning.
  • This is a hands on role requiring both floor presence and administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities Food Safety & Quality Assurance

  • Monitor compliance with HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards
  • Conduct daily kitchen inspections and hygiene audits
  • Verify temperature logs, cooling records, and food safety documentation
  • Ensure cleaning schedules are completed and properly documented
  • Monitor staff compliance with personal hygiene and food handling procedures
  • Conduct routine quality checks on ingredients, preparation processes, and finished meals
  • Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Prepare the kitchen for municipality, HACCP, and internal audits
  • Maintain all food safety records and documentation

Key Responsibilities Production Coordination & Planning Support

  • Prepare and distribute daily production sheets
  • Print and organize recipe cards and production instructions
  • Verify production quantities against daily customer requirements
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and ingredient requirement reports
  • Coordinate with stores and purchasing to ensure ingredient availability
  • Monitor production progress and report delays, shortages, or operational issues
  • Track production errors, rework, shortages, and quality deviations
  • Maintain production records and daily operational reports
  • Assist management in identifying opportunities to improve kitchen efficiency

Key Responsibilities Kitchen Hygiene & Operational Control

  • Conduct daily opening and closing kitchen inspections
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness standards are maintained at all times
  • Monitor equipment cleanliness and sanitation practices
  • Follow up with department heads on corrective actions
  • Report recurring operational issues and recommend improvements
  • Ensure all non conformances are documented and resolved promptly

Requirements Mandatory

  • HACCP Certification or equivalent food safety qualification
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a catering company, meal plan company, central kitchen, airline catering, hospital catering, or food manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Experience conducting food safety inspections and audits
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills
  • Good written and spoken English

Requirements Preferred

  • Experience supporting production planning or kitchen operations
  • Experience preparing production reports and requisitions
  • Knowledge of inventory control and ingredient forecasting
  • ISO 22000 or equivalent food safety management system experience
  • Previous experience in high volume food production environments
