QA/QC Manager

Role Overview

Quality Planning and Supervision

• Develop and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan, Inspection and Test Plans, and project-specific quality procedures.
• Lead and supervise QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and technicians on the solar farm site.
• Review and approve subcontractor method statements, ITPs, and quality documentation before work execution.

Inspections and Testing

• Conduct incoming material inspections for modules, cables, structures, and other solar equipment.
• Inspect piling, module mounting, DC/AC cabling, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate FAT and SAT activities for inverters, transformers, switchgear, and other major equipment.
• Support string testing, IV curve testing, insulation resistance testing, earthing checks, thermographic scanning, and performance testing.

Non-Conformance and Documentation

• Raise, track, and close NCRs and CAR/PARs and lead root-cause analysis with the project team.
• Maintain inspection requests, test reports, ITP checklists, NCRs, punch lists, and other audit-ready records.
• Ensure calibration and proper use of meggers, IV curve tracers, thermal cameras, torque wrenches, and other testing equipment.

Stakeholder and Handover Support

• Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors, and third-party inspection or certification bodies during inspections, witness tests, and audits.
• Lead QA/QC coordination meetings and report KPIs, inspection status, and non-conformance trends to senior management.
• Support commissioning, punch-list closeout, warranty and defect liability activities, final handover, and as-built documentation.
• Conduct internal quality audits and toolbox talks to promote a quality-first site culture.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on QA/QC experience specifically on solar PV or solar farm projects is mandatory.
• Knowledge of IEC 62446, IEC 61215/61730, project technical specifications, UAE regulations, and applicable grid-code standards.
• Experience coordinating QA/QC activities across solar PV equipment, installation, commissioning, and handover.

Compensation

• Pay starts at AED 16,000 per month.

Workplace

• Work location is in person.
