Role Overview

Nord Anglia Education is recruiting a PYP Teacher to join Etqan Global Academy.

Etqan Global Academy is a newly established IB World School offering the IB Primary Years Programme.

The teacher will deliver an outstanding transdisciplinary learning experience and support student development.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver high-quality transdisciplinary units of inquiry aligned with the IB PYP framework.
  • Create an engaging, inclusive, and student-centred classroom environment that promotes agency, curiosity, and a love of learning.
  • Use formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor, document, and support student progress.
  • Collaborate with grade-level and specialist colleagues to plan, reflect on, and review units of inquiry.
  • Embed the IB learner profile, PYP attitudes, and all five essential elements throughout teaching and learning.
  • Promote student agency, voice, and international-mindedness across school life.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents and engage them in their child's learning journey.
  • Contribute to school events, continuing professional development, and school improvement activities.

The Successful Candidate Will Possess

  • Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, B.Ed, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching in an IB PYP school.
  • Strong knowledge of the PYP curriculum framework, units of inquiry, and transdisciplinary learning.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated, and student-centred lessons.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional development.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
  • IB PYP workshop training is desirable.
  • International school experience is desirable.
