Nord Anglia Education is recruiting a PYP Teacher for Etqan Global Academy in Doha, Qatar.
Etqan Global Academy is a newly established IB World School offering the IB Primary Years Programme.
The teacher will join the primary team and deliver an outstanding transdisciplinary learning experience.
The Role
- Plan and deliver high-quality transdisciplinary units of inquiry aligned with the IB PYP framework.
- Create an engaging, inclusive, and student-centred classroom that promotes agency, curiosity, and a love of learning.
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor, document, and support student progress.
- Collaborate with grade-level and specialist colleagues to plan, reflect on, and review units of inquiry.
- Embed the IB learner profile, PYP attitudes, and five essential elements throughout teaching and learning.
- Promote student agency, voice, and international-mindedness in school life.
- Build strong partnerships with parents and engage them in their child's learning journey.
- Contribute to school events, CPD, and school improvement activities.
Successful Candidate
- A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, B.Ed, or equivalent is required.
- Proven experience teaching in an IB PYP school is required.
- Strong knowledge of the PYP curriculum framework, units of inquiry, and transdisciplinary learning is required.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated, and student-centred lessons is required.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional development is required.
- Strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare is required.
- IB PYP workshop training and international school experience are desirable.
