Etqan Global Academy is seeking a DP Mathematics Teacher specializing in Applications and Interpretation for SL and/or HL.
The school is an IB World School in Doha offering the IB Diploma Programme and IB Career-related Programme.
The Role
- Plan and deliver outstanding DP Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation lessons at SL and/or HL.
- Align teaching with IB curriculum requirements and examination expectations.
- Develop mathematical thinking, modelling skills, statistical literacy, and effective use of technology.
- Manage the Internal Assessment Mathematical Exploration process and provide student guidance and feedback.
- Prepare students for IB external examinations through rigorous, data-informed teaching.
- Differentiate effectively for students with additional needs or EAL.
- Teach MYP Mathematics where timetabled.
- Contribute to the Mathematics department and the wider life of the academy.
Successful Candidate
- Recognised teaching qualification and a degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline.
- Proven experience teaching IB DP Mathematics, ideally Applications and Interpretation.
- Knowledge of IB DP assessment, Internal Assessment processes, and examination preparation.
- Ability to use GDC, mathematical software, and technology effectively to support learning.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and differentiation skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
Desirable Qualifications
- IB DP Mathematics workshop training is desirable.
- International school experience is desirable.
