Nord Anglia Education is recruiting an Early Years Teacher for Etqan Global Academy in Doha, Qatar.

Etqan Global Academy is a newly established IB World School seeking a warm, creative, and dedicated teacher.

The role focuses on building a play-based and inquiry-led learning environment for youngest students within the IB PYP Early Years framework.

The role

  • Plan and deliver engaging play-based and inquiry-led learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP Early Years framework.
  • Create and maintain a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where all children feel valued and inspired.
  • Assess and track children's development using observations and portfolio evidence and use findings to inform next steps.
  • Build collaborative partnerships with parents and families through regular communication and engagement.
  • Contribute to planning, reflection, and review of units of inquiry with the Early Years team.
  • Promote the IB learner profile, international-mindedness, and PYP attitudes in classroom practice.
  • Support children's wellbeing, independence, and social-emotional development.
  • Contribute to professional development, school events, and improvement activities across the school community.

Successful candidate

  • A recognised teaching qualification in Early Years, primary, or early childhood education, such as PGCE, QTS, B.Ed, or equivalent, is required.
  • Experience teaching children aged 3–6 in an Early Years setting is required.
  • Knowledge of the IB PYP Early Years framework or an equivalent inquiry-based early years curriculum is required.
  • A strong understanding of child development theory and play-based, child-initiated learning approaches is required.
  • Excellent communication skills and a warm, nurturing approach to children and families are required.
  • Commitment to inclusive practice, child wellbeing, safeguarding, and child protection is required.
  • International school experience is desirable.
