Job Description
Manage and coordinate Permit-to-Work activities for mechanical installation and maintenance works on an oil and gas project.
The role requires an experienced PTW Holder who can control permits, verify hazards and isolations, and maintain safe work compliance.
Location and Industry
- The position is located in Qatar.
- The role supports an oil and gas project and is performed in person.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, obtain, verify, maintain, and close mechanical work permits under approved procedures.
- Coordinate with permit issuers, site supervisors, operations teams, and other relevant personnel.
- Verify work locations, hazards, isolation requirements, and safety precautions before work begins.
- Coordinate mechanical installation, maintenance, repair, and related site activities.
- Ensure work complies with project and QatarEnergy requirements.
- Monitor permit conditions and maintain compliance during work activities.
- Maintain PTW records and documentation and coordinate corrective action for unsafe conditions.
Requirements
- Minimum diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- QatarEnergy approval.
- Valid e-PTW Holder certification or authorization.
- Minimum seven years of oil and gas experience.
- Good knowledge of mechanical work permits and site procedures.
- Experience in mechanical installation and maintenance activities.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
