Role Overview
Electrical Technician responsible for commissioning and testing industrial electrical systems and plant equipment.
Commissioning Activities
- Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning for switchgear, transformers, MCCs, VFDs, UPS and DC systems, generators, and control panels.
- Assist with loop checks, continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, functional tests, energization, and start-up.
- Execute commissioning procedures, test plans, and checklists as directed by commissioning engineers.
- Participate in performance testing and reliability runs of plant systems.
- Lead client technical walkdowns and record punch-list items.
Installation Verification and Testing
- Verify electrical installations against approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Conduct cable continuity, megger, grounding, and protection relay testing.
- Inspect electrical equipment and record testing and commissioning data.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults during commissioning and start-up.
- Support maintenance activities and integrated system testing with instrumentation, mechanical, and process teams.
- Assist in resolving commissioning punch-list items.
