About the Role
A global law firm seeks a Projects Associate for its Abu Dhabi office. You will work on power, utilities, and infrastructure projects, handling procurement, financing, and contract negotiations for clients including lenders, sponsors, and government bodies.

Responsibilities
- Act on procurements and financing structures for power generation, water treatment and waste processing facilities across the Gulf and wider region
- Clean energy work covering solar, wind and newer fuel technologies as the region pushes through its energy transition
- Negotiate and draft contracts for privately financed infrastructure on both new build and existing asset transactions
- Construction and procurement contract work using both standard form and bespoke engineering contracts
- Help clients navigate the commercial, regulatory and governance angles that tend to come with large scale project delivery
Requirements
- Around 3 to 6 years of experience in a projects, energy or infrastructure experience at a Legal 500 law firm
- Qualified in the UK, US, Aus and comfortable working across a variety of governing laws and counterparty cultures
- Some exposure to the Gulf or comparable emerging markets is useful though not a requirement
- Used to running your own files, dealing directly with clients and getting things over the line without a lot of hand holding
- A clear drafter and someone who can hold their own in a negotiation room

Overview
- A well established international firm with a strong regional presence is looking for an associate to join its projects team in Abu Dhabi.
- The practice is genuinely busy across power, utilities and infrastructure and the team works for a broad mix of clients including lenders, sponsors, off takers and government bodies at all stages of a project.

The Work
