A leading semi-government investment entity seeks an experienced Executive Director to lead investments in Energy & Infrastructure. You will originate, execute, and manage direct investments, M&A, and portfolio management.

Responsibilities
- Lead the origination, evaluation, execution, and management of direct investment opportunities across the Energy & Infrastructure sectors
- Identify and assess attractive investment opportunities aligned with the organisation’s strategic objectives and long term investment mandate
- Drive end to end transaction processes including M&A, acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic investments, and capital deployment initiatives
- Conduct detailed investment analysis including financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, risk assessment, and investment committee presentations
- Manage relationships with investment banks, private equity firms, SWF, infrastructure funds, corporates, government stakeholders, and industry partners
- Provide strategic oversight and portfolio management support for existing investments, ensuring value creation and long term performance
- Work closely with portfolio companies and management teams to support operational improvements, strategic initiatives, and growth opportunities
- Monitor market trends, sector developments, and emerging investment themes within energy transition, infrastructure development, and related industries
- Mentor and develop junior investment professionals while contributing to the continued growth of the investment platform
Requirements
- 15+ years of relevant experience within investment banking, private equity, infrastructure investing, or a related investment environment
- Strong transaction experience across Energy & Infrastructure, including M&A advisory, principal investments, acquisitions, divestments, and portfolio management
- Proven track record executing complex, high value transactions and managing investment processes from origination through completion
- Strong understanding of investment strategies, valuation methodologies, financial modelling, and asset management principles
- Established network of industry relationships across energy, infrastructure, corporates, investors, and advisors
- Ability to operate at a senior stakeholder level with strong commercial judgement and strategic thinking

Role Overview
- A leading semi government investment entity is seeking an experienced Executive Director – Energy & Infrastructure Investments to join its growing investment platform.
- The successful candidate will play a senior role in identifying, evaluating, executing, and managing investments across the Energy and Infrastructure sectors, with a particular focus on direct investments, M&A transactions, portfolio management, and asset management activities.
- This is a strategic leadership role for an established investment professional with a strong track record advising on or executing complex transactions within the energy and infrastructure landscape.
- The ideal candidate will come from a leading Investment Banking M&A / Advisory background or a top tier Private Equity investment platform, with demonstrated experience across energy, infrastructure, utilities, natural resources, transportation, or related sectors.
