Project Supervisor

Project Supervisors / Chief Inspector (PS/CI) will manage and direct the on-site construction of engineering projects and provide technical and field support to ensure completion in a timely, safe, and) efficient manner. The PS/CI will lead, manage and direct project team members, Supplier inspectors, and other Third-Party Contractor personnel associated with the construction of the project. The PS/CI will ensure Client specifications and standards for contract are understood and applied by Third- Party Contractor. The PS/CI needs to be knowledgeable in all aspects of pipeline construction including clearing, grading, ditching, stringing, welding, fusing, padding, backfilling, restoring ROW, fabricating assemblies, installing concrete and supports, hydrostatic testing, pressure testing, etc. The PS/CI will need to review Client’s specifications, procedures, and environmental permits to ensure the Third-Party Contractor completes project in compliance. The PS/CI will need to work with the Client and its Third-Party Contractors to complete the necessary Work. The PS/CI will be responsible for tracking all change orders and ensuring validity of the extra work through accurate/organized records. The PS/CI will need to gather all necessary project information for the Maps and Records Completion Report. The PS/CI will need to be familiar with (but not limited to) API 1104, DOT 192, API 5L, ASME B31, and environmental erosion control and spill containment practices. The PS/CI shall be capable of the following: organizing tasks and information, prioritizing tasks, accurately communicating and informing all involved parties, managing all on-site activities, resolving issues and disputes with the Third-Party Contractor, managing material issues, and providing assistances to Client and other parties to accomplish the common goal.

Required equipment:

• Device with the ability for taking and providing daily pictures as documentation of inspected activities
• Daily Logbook for taking daily notes and noting any issues
• Laptop computer with reliable internet service for remote work locations to send daily reports to Client’s Project Engineer and organizing completion reports
• Ability to stand and walk on flat and/or uneven terrain for extended periods of time.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements such as bending, crouching, and kneeling.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle changing priorities.
• Must be able to wear and work in personal protective equipment
