Position Overview
The position is Project HSE Manager within the HSE department of a general contracting business.
The role requires 10 or more years of HSE experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the project HSE function in line with company policies, client requirements, and UAE HSE regulations.
- Develop and monitor HSE plans, risk assessments, method statements, and emergency response procedures.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and safety meetings and close observations and non-conformities.
- Supervise the HSE team through training, toolbox talks, safety inductions, and competency management.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate HSE matters with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project management.
- Monitor controls for PPE, work permits, lifting, excavation, working at height, confined spaces, and other high-risk activities.
- Maintain HSE reports, statistics, inspection records, and audit documentation and support project HSE objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of HSE experience.
- Strong UAE construction experience and knowledge of local HSE regulations and client requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, incident investigation, and risk-management skills.
