Position Details
The role is Assistant HSE Officer within the QHSE department of a general contracting business.
The stated experience range is 0–3 years, and the role supports construction-site health, safety, and environmental activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor site activities for compliance with safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
- Conduct routine site safety inspections and report unsafe acts, conditions, and potential hazards.
- Support toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE awareness activities for employees and subcontractors.
- Ensure proper use of PPE, safety signage, and safe working practices at the construction site.
- Maintain HSE records, inspection checklists, incident reports, and safety documentation.
- Support the HSE Officer or Manager with incident investigations and corrective actions.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in HSE, Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Up to 3 years of HSE experience in construction or general contracting.
- Fresh graduates with relevant HSE qualifications may be considered.
- NEBOSH IGC or IOSH certification is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices and UAE HSE requirements.
- Good communication, reporting, and teamwork skills.
