- Build and manage relationships with government authorities and regulatory bodies
- Handle approvals, permits, and official submissions
- Ensure compliance with local laws and contractual agreements (PSAs, shareholder agreements)
- Support leadership in negotiations and government discussions
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess risks
- Coordinate with internal teams on compliance and governance matters
- Prepare reports on government affairs, compliance, and risks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in government affairs, legal, or compliance
- Experience in energy / oil & gas / infrastructure sectors
- Knowledge of Syrian regulatory environment
- Strong government and stakeholder management skills
- Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks
- Contract management (especially PSAs / agreements)
- Negotiation and influencing skills
- Risk assessment and problem solving abilities
- High integrity and ethical standards
- Strong communication skills (Arabic & English)
- Ability to work in complex and sensitive environments

Job Summary

- Act as the main point of contact with government entities, ensuring smooth approvals, compliance with laws, and effective stakeholder engagement.
