Job Purpose
Manage, supervise, and ensure successful execution of civil works in 380 kV HV/MV substation projects.
Ensure compliance with Saudi Electricity Company standards, contract requirements, safety, and quality guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise civil construction activities including foundations, control buildings, cable trenches, equipment foundations, roads, and fencing.
- Ensure work complies with SEC standards, drawings, and specifications.
- Review civil designs, drawings, and shop drawings and coordinate approvals.
- Coordinate with SEC representatives, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Plan and schedule civil construction activities to meet milestones.
- Monitor materials and workmanship and conduct QA/QC inspections.
- Enforce HSE standards at the project site.
- Maintain progress reports, inspection requests, material approvals, and project documentation.
- Assist with technical issues, variations, and civil-work claims.
- Support progress meetings and report civil work status and challenges.
- Complete and hand over civil works for electrical installation and substation commissioning.
Key Competencies
- Knowledge of substation civil construction practices.
- Knowledge of quality and safety management.
- Stakeholder management with SEC, consultants, and contractors.
- Planning, scheduling, and execution skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural and challenging environment.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in EPC substation projects within Saudi Arabia is preferred.
- Exposure to SEC, National Grid SA, or major utility projects is preferred.
- A strong record of delivering substation civil works safely, within budget, and on schedule is preferred.
- Immediate availability with SEC approval or a transferable iqama is an added advantage.
