Project Director - Stakeholder and Communications

Role Overview

Project Leadership

• Direct project execution from planning and initiation through closure.
• Ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, quality standards, and project objectives.
• Lead cross-functional teams and maintain alignment with organizational goals.

Stakeholder and Communications

• Develop stakeholder engagement strategies that identify, analyze, and prioritize stakeholders.
• Create communication plans that provide clear and timely information to project participants and leadership.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and act as the primary project contact.
• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations for diverse audiences.

Reporting and Change Management

• Monitor project progress and performance metrics and report risks and mitigation strategies to senior leadership.
• Identify communication barriers and organizational risks before they affect project outcomes.
• Manage change initiatives and secure stakeholder buy-in during project transitions.
• Translate complex project information into clear, actionable insights.

Qualifications

• At least 25 years of experience, including 5 years in the GCC, preferably managing large infrastructure programmes.
• University degree in a relevant field, preferably engineering-related.
• Advanced verbal and written Arabic and English communication skills.
• Ability to develop organizational communication strategies and policies aligned with best practices.
• Experience with local authorities or utility service providers.
• Experience managing large-scale, complex project portfolios with multiple stakeholders.
• Qatar-based or previous Qatar work experience is highly desirable.
