Project Director - Construction

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, direct, and coordinate all activities of designated projects to meet goals within scope, schedule, and budget
• Provide timely and clear progress reports to the General Manager and stakeholders
• Establish project work plans, budgets, and staffing; allocate resources efficiently across project phases
• Ensure compliance with all contractual, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements on-site
• Manage interaction and coordination with Consultants, Clients, Safety Managers, Third-party Inspectors, and subcontractors
• Evaluate project progress regularly and adjust plans/schedules as necessary
• Oversee quality management and address non-conformances through corrective actions
• Lead risk management and mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns
• Participate in budget preparation and actively control project costs to meet financial targets
• Communicate effectively across all project teams and external parties, ensuring clarity and alignment

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred
• PMP certification is a significant advantage
• 15–20 years’ experience in construction project management, with at least 10 years in senior project leadership roles handling high-value government or private sector projects
• Strong command of English; Arabic proficiency is a plus
• Proven track record managing large multidisciplinary teams and complex projects in the UAE or GCC region
• Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
