Production Lead

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and coordinate production activities in line with project schedules and deliverables.
• Ensure production personnel comply with HSE policies, procedures, systems, and toolbox-talk requirements.
• Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Procurement, and QA/QC on work packages, drawings, materials, procedures, and project information.
• Optimize resources and escalate shortages involving manpower, equipment, materials, or services.
• Monitor productivity and efficiency while reducing underutilization, wastage, and rework.
• Drive productivity improvements through automation, new techniques, equipment, and improved processes.
• Supervise production staff and trade supervisors to support resource planning and timely delivery.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, work instructions, procedures, quality requirements, and approved practices.
• Monitor yard housekeeping, safety, security, and protection of personnel, equipment, materials, and assets.
• Conduct production reviews, allocate resources, identify bottlenecks, and resolve interdepartmental issues.
• Manage production risks, incident actions, leave schedules, records, lessons learned, and improvement recommendations.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Operations Manager in support of company requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in a relevant technical or engineering discipline.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience in production, fabrication, construction, shipyard, Oil & Gas, EPC, or heavy engineering environments.
• Experience in production planning, resource allocation, productivity monitoring, and project execution.
• Experience managing manpower, machinery, materials, and multiple production activities.
• Experience supervising production staff, trade supervisors, and work teams in a fabrication or yard environment.
• Understanding of fabrication and production processes, schedules, work packages, drawings, materials, and quality requirements.
• Ability to identify bottlenecks, manage constraints, and drive productivity improvements.
• Experience coordinating with Planning, Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and project functions.
• Knowledge of HSE requirements and safe production practices.
• Problem-solving, communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
