HR Business Partner – Engineering & Industrial

Role Overview

Business Partnering

• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Production, Projects, HSE, Quality, Commercial, and other business leaders.
• Provide practical HR advice aligned with business and operational priorities.
• Challenge and coach managers on people decisions and performance.

HR Centre of Excellence Partnership

• Work with HR Centres of Excellence on performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, mobility, engagement, learning, leadership, inclusion, organisation design, and talent acquisition.

Workforce and Talent

• Lead manpower planning and budgeting.
• Translate project and operational requirements into workforce and capability plans.
• Support recruitment of critical technical and leadership positions and conduct competency-based assessments.
• Identify critical skills, talent gaps, succession risks, and internal mobility opportunities.

Governance and Employee Relations

• Ensure consistent application of HR policies, processes, and governance.
• Advise managers on UAE employment law and HR practices.
• Manage complex disciplinary, grievance, investigation, and employee-relations cases.
• Document, escalate, and resolve cases while challenging practices that create people or compliance risks.

Required Experience

• 10–14 years of progressive HR experience, including strong HRBP or generalist experience.
• Experience in oil and gas, marine engineering, industrial manufacturing, EPC, fabrication, energy, or a similar technical environment.
• Strong workforce planning, manpower budgeting, employee relations, conflict resolution, recruitment, and interviewing experience.
• Strong understanding of HR governance and UAE Labour Law.
• Excellent influencing, coaching, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineering or technical background is highly preferred.
• CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
• Arabic is an advantage.
