The Project Controls Manager will lead programme controls across major infrastructure projects in London and the South East.
The role suits professionals with proven Project Controls experience in rail, aviation, power, water and utilities, highways or defence.
Job objectives and responsibilities
- Deliver Project Controls across infrastructure projects in London.
- Lead programme controls and monitor plans, cost, safety, environment and performance reporting.
- Deploy controls team resources effectively across the programme.
- Establish and maintain control processes in compliance with GRIP at territory and project level.
- Review project proposals and monitor realistic resource plans.
- Identify resourcing requirements and resolve issues with planning functions.
- Report to programme and project managers on plans, costs, safety, environment and performance.
- Monitor data input to cost and performance systems against required standards.
- Manage production of the Investment Plan and comply with the Investment Competence Framework.
Requirements
- Experience performing, monitoring and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control and analysis.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with PC operating systems and several basic software applications.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Office and other discipline-specific software applications.
- Intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction and start-up work processes.
- Knowledge of engineering and construction management.
