The opportunity

WSP is seeking a Project Control Analyst for its Project Services Project Cost Control group.

The role supports integrated tracking of costs, progress, and schedules throughout the project lifecycle.

Your impact

  • Control project budgets, committed costs, and forecasts at completion.
  • Apply Earned Value Management to measure actual project performance.
  • Analyze physical progress and its impact on costs and schedules.
  • Prepare EAC and ETC forecasts with project managers.
  • Produce integrated performance analyses and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support change management through cost and schedule impact assessments.
  • Maintain reliable, consistent, and traceable project-control data.
  • Align cost data with project schedules and participate in project reviews.
  • Apply project-control frameworks and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Support junior and intermediate project control officers.

Skills that set you apart

  • At least seven years of project control or project cost control experience.
  • Engineering project experience is mandatory.
  • Heavy industrial project experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management indicators including PV, EV, AC, CPI, and SPI.
  • Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, baselines, and variance analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6, Power BI, InEight, or similar tools is an asset.
  • Ability to work on complex, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Strong rigor, analytical ability, organization, attention to detail, communication, and collaboration.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Compensation

  • The salary range is $89,800 to $118,900 in Alberta, British Columbia, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Saskatchewan, and Yukon.
  • Regional salary ranges also apply for Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Quebec.
  • Final compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, and organizational needs.
