Role Overview
Lead governance and delivery for a major Core Banking Transformation Program.
Provide end-to-end program leadership focused on governance, delivery, budget, risk, stakeholder alignment, and strategic outcomes.
Report to the SVP – Strategic PMO.
Program Leadership and Governance
- Lead the Core Banking PMO and oversee core banking initiatives and workstreams.
- Develop and manage the master plan covering core banking and related satellite systems.
- Monitor program health, milestones, dependencies, critical paths, and delivery objectives.
- Provide executive reporting on progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and benefits realization.
- Manage scope, timeline, budget, quality, interdependencies, and competing priorities.
- Prepare strategic updates, recommendations, and decision papers for senior management and steering committees.
Risk, Finance, and Change
- Identify program risks, develop mitigation plans, and escalate critical issues with resolution strategies.
- Oversee program budgets, forecasts, and financial controls.
- Support organizational readiness, communication, and change management across impacted functions.
- Align Business, Operations, Technology, and Transformation functions.
Candidate Profile
- 15+ years of experience in banking and financial services.
- At least 10+ years of core banking transformation, implementation, upgrade, or migration experience in a PMO, program management, or transformation office environment.
- Proven experience leading end-to-end core banking transformation or replacement programs.
- Strong expertise in core banking platforms, with Temenos or Oracle preferred.
- PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification is mandatory.
- Experience within local or regional banks is preferred.
