Business Intelligence Analyst

Role Overview

Detailed Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements and support the design of BI solutions.
• Review data requirements, perform data analysis and modeling, and prepare business information reports.
• Support testing issue resolution and maintain the metadata repository.
• Deliver scheduled and ad hoc analysis, management reports, data extracts, and campaign files.
• Formulate Business Objects queries and provide product movement dashboards.
• Use approved data sources, business rules, formats, and delivery mechanisms.
• Analyze opportunities to automate reporting and support IT and operating-division planning.
• Prepare branch, product, profitability, incentive, loan portfolio, performance, and promotional analyses.
• Maintain BI and reporting tools and support research into best practices.
• Follow audit, compliance, confidentiality, ethics, and procedural controls.
• Improve data management through data cleanup, quality control, migration, integration, and post-project metrics.

Requirements

• Ability to gather and translate organizational and functional business needs into BI solution requirements.
• Ability to perform detailed data analysis and modeling in support of business requirements.
• Ability to use Business Objects and other business intelligence and reporting tools.
• Ability to prepare management information, dashboards, data extracts, campaign files, and ad hoc reports.
• Ability to apply approved data sources, business rules, content formats, and delivery mechanisms.
• Understanding of data quality, metadata management, data cleanup, and data integration practices.
• Ability to support audit, compliance, confidentiality, professional conduct, and procedural control requirements.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with business, information technology, operating divisions, and reporting stakeholders.
