Production Testing Engineer

Test Equipment and Rigs

• Design, develop, and build test rigs, fixtures, and test setups for new products and configurations.
• Configure and operate instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
• Ensure test equipment and rigs are functional, calibrated, and ready for production use.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repair, maintenance, and calibration activities.

Collaboration and Improvement

• Work with R&D and Engineering teams to establish and validate testing and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate with Quality to align testing with applicable quality requirements.
• Support Production in resolving testing and integration issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, procedures, and production workflows.

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• At least five years of experience in integration and testing, test engineering, electro-mechanical systems, or a similar role is required.
• Hands-on experience with testing, troubleshooting, instrumentation, and test equipment is required.
• Experience in aerospace, UAV, aviation, defense, or advanced manufacturing is highly desirable.
• A Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent process-improvement certification is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical and electronic subsystem integration is required.
• Experience testing power systems, communication interfaces, navigation systems, and sensors is required.
• The role requires test rig and fixture development, instrumentation, data acquisition, structured test procedures, and fault isolation.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality principles is required.

• Strong communication, cross-functional coordination, independent working ability, ownership, and accountability are required.

Working Conditions

• The primary location is Air Q Limited in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• Work may also be required at company-designated sites, offices, airports, or operational locations.
• Working hours may vary according to production, testing, and operational requirements.
