Quality Engineer

Role Overview

Quality Systems and Process Development

• Develop and maintain quality plans, inspection criteria, and control plans for UAV components and assemblies.
• Create work instructions, checklists, and acceptance criteria aligned with engineering and customer requirements.
• Maintain calibration programs and measurement system analysis for inspection equipment.

Non-Conformance and Improvement

• Lead root cause analysis for non-conformances and own CAPA investigation, corrective action, and NCR closure.
• Analyze quality trends, support MRB decisions, train inspectors and technicians, and reduce scrap, rework, and cycle time.
• Report quality KPIs to management.

Compliance and Audits

• Maintain compliance with AS9100 and applicable customer or regulatory requirements.
• Support internal, external, customer, and certification audits and maintain controlled QMS documentation.
• Support First Article Inspection under AS9102 and participate in NPI and design reviews.

Supplier Quality

• Support incoming inspection criteria, supplier audits, and supplier corrective action requests.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Quality Engineering, or a related field is required.
• At least 3 years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing is required; UAV or aviation experience is preferred.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred.
• Experience with ERP or QMS systems, including preferred familiarity with Odoo, is listed.

Technical Competencies

• Knowledge of FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, root cause analysis, inspection plans, control plans, AS9100, engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
• Strong analytical, documentation, reporting, communication, attention-to-detail, and multi-project working skills are listed.

Working Conditions and Location

• The stated work location is Air Q Limited in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• The employee may be assigned to another company-designated site, office, airport, or operational location based on business needs.
• Working hours follow company policy and may vary during operational requirements.
