About the Role
Hitachi Energy is looking for an HSE UAE Coordinator in Dubai to implement and maintain HSE management systems. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and delivering HSE training.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of HSE policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with UAE legal requirements and international standards
- Conduct regular HSE inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, determine root causes, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for improvement
- Deliver HSE training and awareness sessions to employees, contractors, and visitors
- Maintain accurate HSE records, documentation, and reporting systems
- Support the preparation of HSE performance reports for management
- Liaise with local regulatory authorities, clients, and other stakeholders on HSE matters
- Promote a strong safety culture through active participation in HSE committees, safety campaigns, and employee engagement initiatives
- Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and conduct regular drills
- Stay updated with changes in HSE legislation, industry best practices, and technological advancements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent recognized HSE qualification is essential
- Minimum of 3 5 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably within the energy, power, or industrial sectors in the UAE
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, standards, and guidelines (e.g., AD EHSMS, OSHAD, Dubai Municipality regulations)
- Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and HSE audits
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required; Arabic proficiency is a significant advantage
- Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment
- Valid UAE driving license is preferred

Job Summary
