About the Role
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board seeks a Principal Public Health Intelligence Specialist to lead the Population Health Management (PHM) programme. You will develop a whole system approach to PHM, using linked data to improve population health outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of a whole system approach to Population Health Management
- Lead a team across the Public Health and DDaT Directorates
- Work with data from primary, secondary, and care sectors, and wider determinants of health
- Undertake segmentation modelling, risk stratification, analysis of full patient pathways, and identification of health inequalities
- Work with stakeholders to use linked data to tailor care and identify people who would benefit from proactive intervention
- Develop information systems and new information solutions
Requirements
- Masters degree or equivalent experience in a numerical subject (e.g., Maths, Physics, Economics, Operational Research, Statistics or Social Research)
- Specialist knowledge of health care / public health / population health management
- Use of analytical techniques e.g., supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms
- Knowledge of how linked data can be used to improve health and understanding of data linkage principles
- High level of analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Extensive experience and successful track record in PHM intelligence
- Proven experience in a management/leadership role related to analysis for health and care services or policy
- Experience of analysing and interpreting complex data and presenting to senior professional groups
- Experience of partnership working and building consensus
