Job Description

The role focuses on mechanical piping engineering for major oil and gas or petrochemical projects.
Responsibilities
- Champion the project safety culture, behaviors, and engagement activities.
- Identify, evaluate, and resolve piping engineering issues.
- Review and approve contractor mechanical piping deliverables, including equipment designs, system layouts, specifications, calculations, drawings, reports, material requisitions, and quantity estimates.
- Review vendor, manufacturer, and subcontractor design documents and prepare comments and recommendations.
- Attend technical meetings and project sessions, including design reviews, 3D model reviews, constructability, SIL, EIA, HAZOP, and HAZID activities.
- Ensure contractor piping engineering quality, accuracy, system integration, and design selection.
- Supervise contractor work reviews and approvals for compliance with project specifications, codes, standards, and industry practices.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary participation in design options, layout reviews, technical workshops, vendor prequalification, and bid evaluations.
- Support design optimization, technical guidance, specification development, and technical bid analysis.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent from an accredited university.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant oil and gas or petrochemical industry experience.
- At least five years of experience in a similar position on major oil and gas or petrochemical projects.
- Gas processing experience in FEED and EPC phases.
- PMC and ADNOC experience is preferred.
