Role Overview

Architecture and Engineering

• Define and standardize enterprise data and AI architectures using Azure Data Platform, Databricks, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Design data lakehouse, data mesh, and master data management architectures with centralized data lineage and cataloguing.
• Analyze legacy and target data models, entity relationships, and schema evolution for large-scale cloud migrations.
• Architect fault-tolerant streaming and batch ETL/ELT pipelines for multi-platform data ingestion into Azure.

AI, Quality, and Governance

• Architect generative AI ecosystems covering LLM integration, RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and vector search.
• Implement MLOps platforms with unified governance.
• Implement data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation frameworks to prevent data loss.
• Enforce fine-grained security, encryption, Microsoft Purview controls, and UAE data protection compliance.

Migration and Performance

• Orchestrate migration runbooks, cutover execution, rollback strategies, and operational handovers across application and QA teams.
• Resolve distributed compute bottlenecks and optimize Spark, SQL, and storage performance across petabyte-scale workloads.

Advisory and Delivery Leadership

• Serve as a technical authority and strategic advisor for UAE enterprise clients through C-suite presentations and steering committee reviews.
• Lead cross-functional engineering squads and align business objectives, governance councils, and migration sprint deliverables.

Core Qualifications

• At least 18 years of experience in data architecture and engineering.
• Proven delivery of large-scale enterprise Azure migrations.
• Relevant Azure Solutions Architect, Databricks, or Snowflake certifications are highly preferred.

• The role is described as UAE / hybrid and located in Dubai.
