Integration Architect – Unified Data Platform (UDP)

Role Overview

Integration Architecture

• Design end-to-end integration and middleware architecture covering ESB, interface engines, iPaaS, orchestration, routing, transformation, queuing, retries, and error handling.
• Define integration requirements, interface specifications, data mappings, and Interface Control Documents.
• Design and implement healthcare integrations using HL7 v2/v3, FHIR R4, DICOM, and IHE profiles such as PIX/PDQ and XDS.b.
• Integrate with regional and national HIE platforms such as Malaffi and Riayati.
• Design REST/SOAP APIs and API gateway policies for authentication, authorization, versioning, and throttling.

Security and Delivery

• Establish integration monitoring, alerting, observability, and interface-health dashboards.
• Ensure secure data exchange using OAuth2/OIDC, mTLS, and encryption in transit.
• Partner with solution architects, data engineering, business analysts, and delivery teams on integration delivery and testing.
• Support interoperability and conformance testing and production go-live activities.

Required Experience and Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10–14 years of IT experience, including 5+ years as an Integration Architect in healthcare or health IT.
• Strong hands-on expertise in HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and IHE standards.
• Experience with Mirth/NextGen Connect, InterSystems IRIS/Ensemble, Rhapsody, MuleSoft, Azure, or AWS integration services.
• Strong API architecture and API management experience.
• Knowledge of DDA guidelines and UAE healthcare data privacy requirements.
• English fluency is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare HIE integration experience is strongly preferred.
• Arabic is an advantage.
• HL7/FHIR, TOGAF, or cloud integration certification is preferred.
• UAE market availability is preferred.

Travel

• Regional travel is required as needed.
