Role Overview
Advanced Concepts develops autonomous systems and precision technologies within EDGE.
The role leads power electronics and hardware development for high-technology systems.
Core Accountabilities
- Define technical roadmaps for power electronics and hardware design.
- Lead converter, inverter, and motor-drive design and optimization.
- Integrate simulation, circuit design, PCB development, and prototyping workflows.
- Use MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, and LTspice for system modeling and analysis.
- Oversee machine design integrating power electronics, motors, and sensors.
- Coordinate hardware, software, and control algorithms in electromechanical systems.
- Conduct hardware, software, HIL, and field testing.
- Address EMC, thermal performance, reliability, and system integration.
- Optimize trapezoidal, Field-Oriented, and Direct Torque Control algorithms.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in power electronics design, system integration, and validation.
- Proven expertise with converters, inverters, and motor-drive systems for complex applications.
- Advanced certification or a PhD in Power Electronics is advantageous.
