Role Overview
Advanced Concepts develops autonomous systems and other high-technology defense products.
The role focuses on architecture, development, optimization, testing, and maintenance of complex embedded software systems.
Core Accountabilities
- Architect and design complex embedded systems considering real-time constraints, power consumption, and resource limitations.
- Develop and maintain bare-metal firmware for Cortex-M microcontrollers, including STM32, NXP LPC, and Microchip PIC families.
- Develop and maintain microcontroller firmware using FreeRTOS, mbed, or ThreadX.
- Implement Linux drivers and kernel modules for custom hardware components.
- Develop multimedia and image or video capture applications using V4L2, GStreamer, and FFmpeg.
- Optimize solutions using Jetson Linux BSP and NVIDIA JetPack SDK components, including CUDA, cuDNN, and TensorRT.
- Integrate I2C, UART, SPI, and CAN protocols in Linux and microcontroller environments.
- Implement Linux client-server communication over UDP, TCP, and IP.
- Participate in code reviews, maintain coding discipline, and use version control and CI/CD practices.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers, collaborate with stakeholders, and troubleshoot hardware and software using laboratory tools.
