Role Summary
An international engineering consultancy is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer for its growing UAE data centre team.
This is a senior technical leadership role delivering complex mission-critical projects across the Middle East.
The role leads electrical design from concept through construction and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design for hyperscale, colocation, and mission-critical data centre projects.
- Review load assessments, power demand, capacity planning, and infrastructure sizing.
- Perform power distribution, fault current, short-circuit, and protection coordination studies.
- Develop resilient HV/LV, UPS, standby generation, grounding, and power monitoring solutions.
- Coordinate integrated designs with mechanical, structural, civil, ICT, and specialist disciplines.
- Review and approve calculations, specifications, drawings, reports, and technical submissions.
- Manage client, contractor, vendor, programme, resource, budget, and technical risk interactions.
- Provide guidance during testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, and operational readiness.
- Mentor junior and intermediate engineers and support standards, methodologies, and innovation.
