Role Overview
Recruitment is for a Principal Battery Qualification & Test Engineer supporting a confidential advanced eVTOL engineering programme.
The role requires significant hands-on experience planning and delivering battery qualification programmes in safety-critical environments.
Key Experience Required
- At least 10 years of test and qualification engineering experience.
- Battery or energy storage systems experience.
- Cell, module, and pack-level testing experience.
- Abuse and thermal propagation test campaign experience.
- Environmental qualification testing experience.
- Test procedure, fixture, and instrumentation definition experience.
- Test article configuration and conformity control experience.
- Qualification evidence package development experience.
- Experience working with certification or independent assurance bodies.
- Experience managing external test houses or specialist facilities.
Desirable Experience
- Aerospace battery qualification experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of DO-160 or equivalent environmental qualification standards is highly desirable.

- Conduct or manage cell-, module-, and pack-level testing.

- Define test procedures, fixtures, and instrumentation.
- Manage test article configuration and conformity control.
- Develop qualification evidence packages.
- Work with certification and independent assurance bodies.
- Manage external test houses and specialist test facilities.
