Etihad is expanding its network and fleet and is investing in aviation operations and employee development.
The First Officer will be based in Abu Dhabi and will have a pathway toward future Captain command.
The role is identified as onsite and full time.
Compensation
- The annual package includes basic salary, flying pay, housing allowance, and layover and meal allowances.
- The package may reach AED 513,732 per year based on 75 flying hours per month.
- Benefits include education allowance, income protection, annual leave, staff travel, end-of-service benefits, and insurance.
The Role
- Assist the Captain with flight preparation, navigation, and aircraft operation.
- Ensure compliance with Etihad operating procedures and regulatory standards.
- Continuously and independently monitor aircraft position, terrain, and weather.
- Provide communication, advice, and support to the Captain for safe decision-making.
- Maintain professional standards of discipline, conduct, and personal appearance.
- Assume command if the Captain becomes incapacitated under company procedures.
Criteria A
- Minimum 2,500 total flying hours.
- Minimum 1,500 hours on multi-crew glass cockpit MPA.
- Minimum 1,000 hours on Airbus Wide Body FBW or Boeing Wide Body aircraft.
Criteria B
- Minimum 3,000 total flying hours.
- Minimum 2,000 hours on Airbus Wide Body FBW or Boeing Wide Body aircraft.
General Eligibility
- Recent flight experience on an Airbus Wide Body FBW or Boeing Wide Body aircraft within the last 12 months.
- Valid type rating on an Airbus Wide Body FBW or Boeing Wide Body aircraft for at least two more months at joining.
- Unrestricted ATPL or valid frozen ATPL issued by an ICAO member state.
- Unrestricted, current Class 1 medical certificate.
- Under 50 years of age on the day of joining.
- Written and verbal English fluency at ICAO Level 4 or better.
- Frozen ATPL holders must provide ATPL examination results and integrated ATPL course completion evidence.
