DP World is looking for a Pricing Officer to manage transportation procurement, secure competitive rates, and support daily operations for local and GCC cross-border freight.

Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and onboard transportation vendors for local and cross border operations
- Obtain competitive transportation rates for dry, reefer, automotive, bonded, and specialized cargo movements
- Handle daily RFQs and provide timely and accurate pricing support to Commercial and Operations teams
- Negotiate transportation rates and commercial terms with service providers to achieve cost efficiency
- Build and maintain strong relationships with transportation vendors and monitor service performance
- Ensure all vendor documentation, permits, licenses, insurance, and compliance requirements remain valid and up to date
- Maintain transportation databases, vendor records, and rate comparison reports
- Coordinate with transport providers to ensure truck availability and timely deployment
- Support local and GCC cross border transportation operations
- Monitor market conditions, transportation capacity, truck shortages, and freight rate fluctuations
- Work closely with Operations teams to support urgent deployment requirements and resolve customer escalations
- Support the Finance team with billing verification, detention management, and transportation cost tracking
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in transportation procurement, freight management, or logistics operations
- Experience within the 3PL or logistics industry is preferred
- Experience in GCC cross border transportation operations is an advantage
- Exposure to reefer, dry, automotive, and bonded transportation operations is preferred
- Strong understanding of local and GCC transportation operations
- Knowledge of trucking operations, transportation documentation, and compliance requirements
- Experience in vendor management and transportation rate negotiations
- Understanding of POD management, KPI tracking, and operational reporting
- Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and transportation dashboards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills

Job Purpose
- The Pricing Officer – Freight Management is responsible for sourcing and managing transportation service providers, securing competitive transportation rates, and supporting daily operational requirements.
- The role ensures the timely availability of trucks for local and GCC cross border operations while maintaining strong coordination with Operations, Commercial, Finance, and external transport vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Transportation Procurement & Pricing: Source, evaluate, and onboard transportation vendors; obtain competitive rates; handle daily RFQs; negotiate rates and terms.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships; ensure vendor documentation and compliance; maintain databases and rate comparison reports.
- Operational Support: Coordinate with transport providers; support local and GCC cross border operations; monitor market conditions; work with Operations teams.
- Financial & Reporting Support: Support Finance with billing verification and cost tracking; maintain dashboards, KPI reports, and operational performance records.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–5 years in transportation procurement, freight management, or logistics operations; 3PL or logistics industry preferred; GCC cross border experience an advantage; exposure to reefer, dry, automotive, and bonded transportation preferred.
