Presales Assistant Manager

Job Purpose

Infrastructure Presales Responsibilities

• Gather client requirements and provide infrastructure design inputs for proposals and RFPs.
• Estimate infrastructure demand, capacity, and cost structures for planning activities.
• Define design guidelines and best practices for engineering teams.
• Advise clients on infrastructure architecture, design methods, and customer-specific strategies.
• Assess network and security postures and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Lead infrastructure dimensioning and capacity planning discussions.
• Propose compliant, optimized designs that address safety, regulatory, and performance standards.
• Evaluate system and equipment performance baselines and recommend upgrades or alternatives.

Application and Solution Architecture

• Advise on application architecture, service architecture, technology stacks, and enterprise framework alignment.
• Coordinate with enterprise architects and technical stakeholders to translate customer requirements into scalable solutions.
• Prioritize requirements according to business value, feasibility, and solution strategy.
• Analyze current and future state gaps and propose transition approaches.
• Document high-level designs with performance baselines and value-driven optimizations.
• Validate technical blueprints against client needs, budgets, and operational goals.

Technical Planning and Compliance

• Define testing scopes and pre-production environments for demonstrations and proofs of concept.
• Support presales solutions involving operating systems, databases, virtualization, archiving, and server consolidation.
• Define backend infrastructure and middleware specifications for proposed applications.
• Recommend modernization, database optimization, migration, backup, and legacy decommissioning strategies.
• Forecast infrastructure costs and return on investment for cloud, storage, and network capacity.
• Architect private, public, and hybrid cloud solutions and advise on legacy-to-modern platform integration.
• Ensure proposals comply with security standards, data protection requirements, and corporate policies.

Experience and Education

• At least five years of experience in circuit, system, infrastructure, or applications design in the technology or telecommunications industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or Computer Science.
• The role is classified as a Sr. Professional job band.
