Platform / Container Engineer (L2, DevOps)

Role Overview

Location and Employment

• The role is based in the UAE and is onsite.
• The employment type is full-time.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate AKS and on-premises Kubernetes clusters, including lifecycle, node management, scaling, and resource quotas.
• Manage Docker and containerd images, registries, tagging standards, and vulnerability scanning.
• Build delivery pipelines with Helm, GitOps, and CI/CD tools including Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Implement Prometheus and Grafana observability with alerts, dashboards, and SLIs/SLOs.
• Troubleshoot cluster networking and storage, including ingress controllers, load balancers, and persistent volumes.
• Enforce RBAC, secrets management, network policies, and secure supply-chain practices.
• Automate operations with Linux, Bash, and Python.
• Manage incidents, service requests, changes, root-cause analysis, onboarding, capacity planning, patching, and upgrades.

Technical Skills

• Kubernetes on AKS and on-premises environments.
• Docker, containerd, Helm, GitOps, and CI/CD.
• Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Prometheus, Grafana, ingress controllers, load balancers, and persistent volumes.
• Linux, Bash, Python, RBAC, and secrets management.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on Kubernetes or container-platform experience in a DevOps capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong Linux administration, scripting, troubleshooting, CI/CD, GitOps, container security, and image-governance skills.
• Experience in an SLA-driven, ITIL-aligned managed-services environment.
• Fluent English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
• CKA certification is mandatory; AZ-400, Docker DCA, CKAD, CKS, and ITIL v4 Foundation are preferred.
• Candidates must be UAE-based or willing to relocate and able to work onsite.
