We are currently recruiting for an
Plant Operator
for our client to be based out of their Dubai office.
Job Purpose
The Plant Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of a bio diesel production facility.
The role involves monitoring chemical processes, managing feedstock conversion, and ensuring the final product meets international quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead shift operations for biodiesel production across all stages
- Operate the plant, ensure safe work practices.
- Monitor raw material feeding (UCO, methanol) and additive dosing as per batch specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections of pumps, tanks, chillers, and process equipment; perform first-level troubleshooting.
- Record shift-wise production, consumption.
- Product sampling and preliminary checks for UCO, product conformity, and waste/by-product handling and documentation.
- Operate and monitor plant machinery, including reactors, distillation columns, and centrifuges, via SCADA/PLC control systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage the safe loading, unloading, and mixing of chemicals and feedstocks (e.g., Used Cooking Oil, Methanol, and catalysts).
- Perform routine on-site laboratory tests (e.g., titration, moisture content, and density) to monitor the transesterification process and ensure product purity.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- **Education**
- : Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- **Experience**
- : 3–4 years of hands-on experience in a chemical processing plant; specific experience in
Bio Diesel Or Oil & Gas
- is highly preferred.
- **Technical Skills**
- : Proficiency in operating process control systems (PLC/SCADA) and a strong understanding of chemical reactions and fluid dynamics.
- **Soft Skills**
- : Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with the concentration to manage high-pressure environments.
