About the Role
We are hiring a Planning Manager for a Tier 1 international consultancy in Dubai. You will lead project planning and controls across multiple high-profile developments, ensuring programmes align with client objectives and delivery strategies.

- Lead the development, review, and management of project programmes across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and delivery requirements
- Provide strategic planning advice to clients, project directors, and senior management, supporting informed decision making throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee programme performance, identifying risks, delays, and opportunities, while implementing effective mitigation and recovery strategies
- Manage and review contractor and consultant programmes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with project milestones
- Present programme updates, critical path analysis, and performance reports to clients and senior stakeholders clearly and concisely
- Work closely with commercial, design, and delivery teams to ensure programme considerations are integrated into wider project and business objectives
- Lead planning workshops, progress reviews, and stakeholder meetings to drive accountability and project performance
- Develop and maintain programme governance, planning standards, and best practices across the project portfolio
- Support business growth initiatives by contributing planning expertise during project pursuits, bids, and client engagements
- Mentor and develop planning team members, promoting high standards of planning and project controls across the organisation
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Previous experience working for a Tier 1 consultancy or contractor, with consultancy experience preferred
- Proven track record managing planning functions across multiple complex projects and stakeholder groups
- Strong client facing experience with the ability to confidently present programme strategies, project performance, and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Commercially aware with a strong understanding of project delivery, risk management, and business performance
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to identify project risks and develop practical solutions
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience leading and mentoring planning teams while driving planning best practice and continuous improvement initiatives
- Build project background is essential; infrastructure experience alone will not be considered

- Acting as a key client facing representative, you will work closely with senior stakeholders, project teams, and leadership to drive planning excellence, manage project performance, and provide strategic guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- This role requires a commercially minded planning professional who can influence decision making, communicate effectively with clients and leadership teams, and contribute beyond traditional scheduling functions.
