Role Description
The Planning Engineer - Turnaround Services is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate.
The role develops turnaround and shutdown plans for maintenance and project activities.
Planning Responsibilities
- Develop detailed turnaround and shutdown schedules, resource allocations, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and project teams to gather inputs and align work scopes.
- Monitor progress, update planning tools, prepare reports, and support project controls.
- Optimize planning processes and identify risks and constraints affecting execution.
- Communicate with stakeholders to support efficient turnaround service delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Strong planning and production planning skills.
- Experience developing detailed turnaround or shutdown schedules.
- Previous turnaround, shutdown, or maintenance planning experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or related sectors.
- Experience in project control, progress tracking, reporting, and cost and schedule control.
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with Primavera, MS Project, and standard maintenance management systems.
- Analytical ability to interpret technical data, evaluate risks, and optimize resources and time.
- Knowledge of relevant HSE standards and ability to integrate safety into planning and execution.
Work Environment
- The position is on-site in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.
- The role requires adaptability to a fast-paced operational environment with changing priorities.
