Planning Engineer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain baseline schedules, recovery plans, and updated project programs.
• Develop project WBS, activities, resources, and milestones.
• Monitor actual progress against approved baseline schedules and identify delays and critical activities.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and management dashboards.
• Perform critical path analysis and identify schedule risks and delays.
• Coordinate with project managers, site teams, engineering, procurement, subcontractors, and other departments.
• Monitor engineering, procurement, material delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules and manpower and resource forecasts.
• Support Extension of Time submissions, delay analysis, recovery programs, and progress claims.
• Attend progress meetings and provide planning and scheduling information to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Five to eight years of relevant planning experience in construction and/or MEP projects.
• Strong UAE or GCC project experience is preferred.
• Excellent command of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling, progress measurement, resource planning, and critical path analysis.
• Experience with MEP construction activities, procurement schedules, testing and commissioning, and project handover is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, reporting, coordination, and communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project reporting tools.

Compensation

• The description lists pay as AED 1 per month.
