Role Overview
Civil Planning Engineer role supporting offshore oil and gas construction projects.
The position is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and requires willingness to work offshore.
The role focuses on project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and coordination.
Planning Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and other planning tools.
- Establish work breakdown structures, activity sequences, durations, and milestones.
- Monitor project progress and identify critical paths.
- Prepare and assess Extension of Time claims and delay analyses.
- Conduct critical path and schedule impact analyses.
- Support resource planning and allocation.
- Identify project risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, site teams, and stakeholders.
- Prepare planning reports, progress updates, and management presentations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- At least 8 years of project planning experience in oil and gas or offshore construction.
- Strong understanding of construction sequences and activity durations.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and project planning methodologies.
- Experience with critical path analysis, EOT claims, resource planning, and project controls.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Based in or willing to work in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
- Willingness to work offshore.
Pay
- Monthly pay is AED 12,000 to AED 15,000.
Work Location
- Work is performed in person in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with offshore work required.
