- Identify patient and compare information on requisition before venipuncture

- Perform bleeding time tests, blood cultures, and blood sample collection
- Stock laboratory consumables and maintain cleanliness
- Complete reports on hazardous incidents
- Handle sample receiving, calls, queries, and send out preparation
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
- At least 2 years of Medical Laboratory experience especially in phlebotomy
- Currently licensed in country of origin and with DHA license to practice in Dubai UAE
- Fluent in spoken & written English
- Arabic language is desirable

Position Overview
- Phlebotomists collect patient’s blood specimens by venipuncture and micro collection techniques.
- May be rotated through shifts, collect samples from hospital departments, guide patients on sample collection.
Responsibilities
- Identify the patient before venipuncture.
- Explain sample collection procedure to patient/parents.
- Perform venipunctures and skin punctures competently.
- Know test requirements, tube colors, and blood volumes.
- Perform bleeding time tests, blood cultures, blood sample collection.
- Maintain cleanliness and decorum of blood collection rooms.
- Stock laboratory consumables and supplies.
- Ensure trays and tools are clean and sanitized.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing and data collection.
- Complete reports on hazardous incidents.
- Deal with complications from improperly drawn blood or patient conditions.
- Handle sample receiving, calls, queries, send out preparation, and referral lab results.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- At least two years of Medical Laboratory experience especially in phlebotomy.
- Currently licensed in country of origin and with DHA license to practice in Dubai UAE.
- Fluent in spoken & written English; Arabic language is desirable.
